CHAP. 304

CHAPTER 304.

AN ACT to refund to Charles E. P. Brewer a sum of money
erroneously paid into the State Treasury.

Warrant to
be issued

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the Comptroller of the Treasury be and he
is hereby authorized and directed to issue his warrant upon
the Treasurer of Maryland to pay to Charles E. P. Brewer
the sum of fifty-seven dollars ($57) for trader's licenses
erroneously paid by him into the said treasury of Maryland.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.
Approved April 8, 1902.

CHAPTER 305.

AN ACT to repeal Chapter four hundred and fifty of the
Acts of eighteen hundred and ninety-two, entitled "An
Act to prescribe the compensation and regulate the sessions
of the Orphans' Court for Saint Mary's County," and
re-enact the same with amendments.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of

Tor service.

Maryland, That the judges of the Orphans' Court for Saint
Mary's county shall receive the sum of four dollars for each
day's attendance upon the session of said Court.

Where
sessions shall
be held.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the sessions of said Court
shall be held in Leonardtown in said county, on the second
Tuesday of each month, and oftener, if in their judgment the
public business may require it; provided, that the compensa-
tion of any one of said judges shall not exceed the sum of
one hundred dollars in any one year.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.
Approved April 8, 1902.

CHAPTER 306.
AN ACT to provide for the compilation of data from the
Census Reports and Returns of 1901.

Preamble.

WHEREAS, Chapter 3 of the Acts of 1901 failed to provide
for the compilation of the population between the ages of five
and twenty in the several counties and city of Baltimore ; and
WHEHEAS, Sections 98 and 102 of Article 77 of the Code
of Public General Laws provide that the school tax shall be
