State, which sum was paid to the Insurance Commissioner of
Maryland by the Union Indemnity League of Richmond, the
fifteenth day of June, in the year eighteen hundred and
ninety-nine, and by said Insurance Commissioner paid into
the State treasury the thirteenth day of November, in the
year eighteen hundred and ninety nine ; but said Union
Indemnity League of Richmond subsequently decided not to
do business in this State, aud never did operate herein. The
refunding of said money is recommended by the officers of
the State treasury.
SEC. 2. And be ii enacted That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 288.
AN ACT to repeal Section fifty-five of Article 16 of the
Code of Public Local Laws, title "Montgomery County,"
sub-title "Birds and Game," as repealed and re-enacted by
Chapter three hundred and eighty-three of the Acts of
nineteen hundred, and to re-enact the same, to read as
follows :

CHAP. 28&

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That section fifty-five of Article 16 of the Code
of Public Local Laws, title "Montgomery County," sub-title
"Birds and Game," as re-enacted by chapter three hundred
and eighty-three of the Acts of nineteen hundred be and the
same is hereby repealed and re-enacted, so as to read as follows:

Repeal
.nd re-enact.

55. No person shall trap, shoot, or in any manner catch,
kill or take any partridge in Montgomery county between the
twentieth day of December and the first day of November,
nor any woodcock between the first day of January and the
first day of July, nor any pheasants between the first day
of January and the first day of September, nor any wild
turkey between the first day of March and the first day of
November, nor any gray squirrel between the fifteenth day of
December and the first day of August, nor shall any person
ehoot any rabbit in said county between the twentieth day
of December and the first day of November, or in any other
manner catch, kill or take any rabbit in said county between
the first day of November and the fifteenth day of January.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.
