CHAP 275.
Preamble.
|
WHEREAS, In the year 1897, when Arthur W. Shanklin
was elected to the office of treasurer of Baltimore county
and collector of State and county taxes for said county,
section 44 of Article 3 of the Public Local Laws of Maryland
allowed but $2,000 for clerk hire in said office, and as it was
necessary to employ an additional clerk in order to get the
work done in said office, the said Arthur W. Shanklin was
obliged to pay out of his own salary seven hundred dollars
per annum to the said olerk for the two years he was in said
office.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the County Commissioners of Baltimore
county be and they are hereby authorized and directed to pay
to Arthur W. Shanklin, ex-treasurer of Baltimore county and
collector of State and County taxes for said county, the sum
of fourteen hundred dollars, being the amount of money paid
by him for clerk hire, as before mentioned in the preamble of
this Act.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 276.
AN ACT to repeal Section 11, and to repeal and re-enact
with -amendments Sections 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20,
21, 22, 97 and 99, and to add an additional Section, to be
known as 99 A, of Article 1 of the Code of Public Local
Laws, title " Allegany County," sub-title " Birds and
Game."

Repeal
and re-enact.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That section 11 of Article 1 of the Code of
, Public Local Laws, title "Allegany County," sub-title "Birds
and Game," be and the same is hereby repealed, and that sec-
tions 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 97 and 99 of
Baid Act be repealed and re-enacted, and that an additional
section, to be known as 99 A, be added, so as to read as follows :

Game law.
|
Section 12. It shall be unlawful for any person to kill or
destroy any pheasant or partridge on and after the first day of
January, until the fifteenth day of October, in each and every
year, under a penalty of five dollars for each pheasant or
partridge so killed or destroyed.
Section 13. No persons shall kill or destroy any wild turkey
or woodcock on and after January first until October fifteenth
