CHAP. 255.

CHAPTER 255.

AN ACT to repeal Section 262 T of the Act of 1898, Chapter
204 of the Local Laws of Harford County relating to Taxes
and County Treasurer, and re-enact the same with amend-
ments.

Repeal and
re-enact.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That section 262 Y of the Act of the General
Assembly of Maryland, chapter 204, of the year 1898, be
and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted, so as to read as
follows :

annual levy.

262 T. The County Commissioners of Harford county shall
close the annual levy and complete the same in the present
year of 1902 not later than the last day of June, or earlier in
their discretion, and annually thereafter, not later than the last
day of May in their discretion, and in each and every year,
shall give notice by publication in at least two newspapers
printed and published in Harford county of the date of the
close of the levy for that year, at least one month before the
close thereof.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 256.

AN ACT to appropriate a sum of money to repair and
refurnish State buildings within the city of Annapolis.

Preamble.

WHEREAS, The condition of some of the State buildings in
the city of Annapolis demands that proper attention should be
given them at once ; therefore,

Governor
authorized
to have State
buildings
repaired and
refurnished.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the Governor of this State be and he is
hereby authorized to have such State buildings in the city of
Annapolis repaired and refurnished as in his judgment may
be found necessary, and the sum of eight thousand dollars, or
so much thereof as may be necessary, is hereby appropriated
to carry into effect the purposes of this Act, and the Comp-
troller is hereby authorized to issue his warrant upon the
Treasurer for such amounts as the Governor upon his requisi-
tion may require, not exceeding however the amount hereby
appropriated.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.
