Jane Torbet, late of Cecil Connty, deceased, to the Trustees
of the Methodist Episcopal Church of the Town of Elkton.
WHEREAS, It is represented to the General Assembly that

CHAP. 268.

the last will and testament of Jane Torbet, late of Cecil
county, deceased, contains the following bequest, item second :
I give and bequeath to the trustees of the Methodist Episcopal
Church of the town of Elkton the sum of one thousand dollars
in trust, that the same shall be by them invested, the interest
accruing thereby to be applied annually on account of the
payment of the salary of the regulary appointed resident pastor
of said church ; now, therefore,

Preamble.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly cf
Maryland, That its sanction is hereby given to the bequest
above mentioned.
Sfio. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.
Approved April 8, 1902.

CHAPTER 254.
AN ACT to declare the sanction and consent of the General
Assembly of Maryland to the sale, grant and conveyance to
North Point Methodist Episcpal Church, South, of Balti-
more County, a body corporate, by Thomas B. Todd and
Sarah R. Todd, his wife, and Andrew Z. Rogers and Annie
E. Rogers, his wife, of a lot of ground in Baltimore County.

Sanction
given.

SECTION 1.Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the sanction and consent of the General
Assembly of Maryland be and the same is hereby declared,
given and granted to the sale, grant and deed of a certain lot,
containing about one-half acre of land at Poplar Hill, Patapsco
Neck, in Baltimore county, to North Point Methodist Episco-
pal Church, South, of Baltimore county, a body corporate,
duly incorporated under the laws of this State, by Thomas B.
Todd and Sarah R. Todd, his wife, and Andrew Z. Rogers,
and Annie E. Rogers, his wife, by their deed, dated the twenty-
Bixth day of February, in the year nineteen hundred and two,
and recorded among the land records of Baltimore county on
the 27th day of February, nineteen hundred and two, in Liber
N. B. M. No. 254, folio 79, etc., and that fee simple title vest
pursuant to said deed absolutely in said corporation, its succes-
sors and assigns, to its own and their own use and behalf.
SEC. 2. Be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.
