said town is hereby authorized to issue its bonds to the said
amount of seven thousand dollars or to such part thereof as
may be deemed necessary ; said bonds to be of like tenor and
amount as provided in said first-mentioned Act, and to be
deemed and held to be in all respects a further and additional
issue of the bonds authorized by the Acts aforesaid ; and for
the purpose of redeeming said bonds at their maturity, and for
securing the prompt payment of the interest thereon, the

town of Takoma Park shall have power to levy such addi-
tional tax on the assessable property of said town as may be
necessary, and to collect the same as is now or may hereafter
be provided by law for the collection of the taxes of said
town ; provided, that before the additional bonds herein
authorized shall be issued under the provisions hereof, the
question of such issue shall be submitted to the qualified
voters of said town, as provided by the said chapter one
hundred and twenty-five, and said bonds shall only be issued
if two-thirds of said qualified voters voting at said special
election shall vote in favor thereof.

CHAPTER 238.
AN ACT to authorize the Commissioners of Somerset County
to pay, the costs incurred by Joseph Muir, who was returned
without any fraud by the judges of election of said county
a County Commissioner elect of Somerset county, in his
contest with L. Wesley Beauchamp, before the Circuit
Court for Somerset County, and the Court of Appeals of
Maryland, in which contest the office was awarded to the
said L. Wesley Beauchamp, and the said Joseph Muir waa
compelled to pay the cost of said contest.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the County Commissioners of Somerset
County be and they are hereby authorized to pay to Joseph
Muir the sum of eight hundred and seventy-five dollars, the
amount of his costs in the aforesaid contest, as certified by the
clerk of the Circuit Court for Somerset county aforesaid.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.
