CHAPTER 236.
AN ACT to amend Article 81 of the Code of Public General
Laws, title "Revenue and Taxes," sub-title "State Tax Com-
missioner," by adding thereto an additional Section, as
Section 132 A.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Article 81 of the Code of Public General
Laws, title "Revenue and Taxes," sub-title "State Tax Com-
missioner," be and same is hereby amended by adding, just
after section 132, an additional section, as section 132 A, to
read as follows :

Section 132 A. The State Tax Commissioner may employ
one clerk, whose compensation shall be $1,500 per annum ;
one assistant clerk, whose compensation shall be $1,200 per
annum ; and one whose compensation shall be $600 per
annum.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted. That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 237.
AN ACT to authorize the Town of Takoma Park to borrow
an additional sum of not exceeding seven thousand dollars
on the credit of said Town for the purpose of completing
and maintaining Water Works and a Sewerage System for
said Town, to issue bonds for the payment thereof, and to
levy taxes to redeem said bonds and to pay interest thereon.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the town of Takoma Park be and it is
hereby authorized to borrow on the credit of said town an
amount not exceeding seven thousand dollars, five thousand
dollars ($5,000) of said sum to be devoted to the payment of
Messrs. Rosser and Castoe, of Bellaire, Ohio, and that the
remaining amount, or so much thereof as may be necessary,
shall be applied to the installation of a duplicate engine and
pumping plant, and for no other purpose. Said sum to be
additional to the amounts authorized to be borrowed by said
town by chapter one hundred and twenty-five of the Laws of
the General Assembly of the State of Maryland, passed at the
Session of eighteen hundred and ninety-eight, and by chapter
two hundred and ninety-two of the Laws of said General
Assembly, passed at the Session of nineteen hundred. The
