CHAP. 218.

Power given
to fill
vacancies.

Assembly, passed at the January session in the year eighteen
hundred and fifty-eight, chapter 33 of the Acts of Assembly
of eighteen hundred and seventy, chapter 152 of the Acts of
Assembly of eighteen hundred and eighty-eight, and chapter
408 of the Acts of Assembly of eighteen hundred and ninety-
eight, by death, resignation or \ otherwise, the said directors
shall have the power to till such vacancy by the election of a
successor to serve for the remainder of the term of the
member of said board so dying, resigning or otherwise causing
such vacancy as aforesaid.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted. That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.
Approved April 8, 1902.

CHAPTER 219.
AN ACT to authorize the County Commissioners of Harford
County to levy annually a sum of money for the support of
Eliza Cavender, Martha Standeford and Eldridge Gallup, of
said County.

Levy to be
made.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the County Commissioners of Harford county
be and they are hereby authorized and empowered to levy
annually a sum of money, not to exceed seventy-five dollars
each, for the support of Eliza Cavender, Martha Standeford
and Eldridge Gallup, of said county.
Approved April 8, 1902.

CHAPTER 220.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact Sub-Section 3 of Section 14
of Chapter 78 of the Acts of the General Assembly of
Maryland of the Session of 1898, entitled an Act to repeal
and re-enact with amendments Chapter 621 of the Acts of
the General Assembly of Maryland of 1894, entitled an
Act to Incorporate the Town of Kensington, in Mont-
gomery County, Maryland.

Repeal and
re-enact.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That sub-section 3 of section 14 of chapter 78 of
the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland of the
Session of 1898, entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact with
amendments chapter 621 of the Acts of the General Assembly
of Maryland of 189i, entitled an Act to incorporate the Town
of Kensington in Montgomery county, Maryland, be and the
same is hereby repealed and re-enacted, so as to read as follows :
