Lawful
to catch fish,
etc.

of the Wye and Great Choptank rivers lying solely in Talbot
county, with gill nets or hook and line at any time, and it
shall be lawful to catch fish in Skypton creek with haul seines
from the first day of August to twentieth day of May follow-
ing, and it shall be unlawful to set any net so that it will
extend more than one-half the distance across the river or
creek in which it may be set; and it shall be lawful to catch
fish in all other waters of said county with hook and line at
any time, and to take and catch fish with gill nets, haul seine,
drag nets, fish baskets, fish pots, pound nets and fykes from
the first day of August to the twentieth day of May follow-
ing ; provided, however, that the meshes in all seines, nets,
pounds and fykes are in the bar not less than one and one-half
inches.
115 A. Any person who shall violate the provisions of 115

shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and on conviction
thereof before any Court or justice of the peace having juris-
diction shall be fined twenty-five dollars, one-half of which
shall be paid to the informer and one-half to the game warden,
and costs, and shall stand committed to the county jail until
fine and costs are paid, and shall also forfeit his nets, weirs,
fish pots and appliances, which shall be sold at public sale by
the officer making the arrest ; and proceeds of said sale after
deducting costs of sale, shall be paid to the County Commis-
sioners of Talbot county for the use of the public schools of
said county.

Unlawful to
catch
or have in
possession
within
certain limes.

115 B. It shall be unlawful for any person to take, catch or
have in possession, in Talbot county, any terrapin, between
the first day of April and the first day of November in each
year ; the term terrapin to apply to those known as diamond
back, skilpot and slider.

Less size
than
five inches.

115 C. It shall be unlawful for any person to take, catch or
have in possession in said county any terrapin of less size
than five inches in length on the bottom shell.

Terrapin
eggs.

115 D. It shall be unlawful for any person to interfere with
or in any manner destroy terrapin eggs.

Bona fide
residents.

115 E. None but bona fide residents of Talbot county, of
this State, shall take or catch terrapin therein.

Penalty
for violation.


115 F. Any person violating any part of sections 115B, 115 C,

115 D or 115 E shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and
upon conviction thereof before any Court or justice of the
peace having jurisdiction, shall be fined a sum of not less
than five or more than ten dollars for each terrapin so taken
or held in possession or for destroying such eggs ; and the
terrapins so held in possession shall be confiscated and returned
by the officer making arrest to some suitable place for their
