STATE OF MARYLAND.

CHAP. 176.

title "Birds and Game," to follow after section 55, and to be
known as Section 55 A of said Article.
Be it enacted, by the General Assembly, That the following

Public Local Laws, title "Frederick County," sub-title "Birds
and Game," to follow after section 55 A and to be known as
Section A of said Article.
Section 55 A. It shall not be lawful for any person, not a

Game law.

bona fide resident of said county, to shoot any partridges,
pheasants, woodcock, rabbit, turkey, wild duck, or turkey in
said county, without having first obtained from the clerk
of the Circuit Court for said county a license permitting the
person therein named to shoot said game in said county for
one year from the day on which such license is issued, and such
license shall not be transferable. The person named therein,
or party procuring such license shall pay to said clerk therefor
the sum of fifteen dollars per year, which amount shall be paid
by said clerk to the Board of School Commissioners of said
county, for the use of the public schools of said county, and
fifty cents to the clerk as a fee for issuing such license ; and
any non-resident convicted before a justice of the peace
of said county for gunning therein without having first
obtained the license aforesaid shall be fined twenty-five dollars
for each and every such offence ; in failure to pay said fine
and costs, the offender shall be committed to the county jail
for twenty days ; the one-half of all tines so imposed under
this Act shall be paid to the informer and the remainder to
the Board of County School Commissioners of said county, for
the use of the public schools of said county ; provided, that
nothing in this Act shall prevent the owners of land in
Frederick county from giving written permission to non-
residents to hunt upon their one lands in said county.
SEC. 2. Be it enacted ', That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 177.
AN ACT to authorize and require the County Commissioners
of Baltimore County to levy a sum to be applied to the
purchasing a lot of ground and the building of a school
house in the First District of Baltimore County near
Dickeyville.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the
