CHAP. 160.

Disposition
of fees
and fines.

SEC. 13. All fees collected and one-half of all fines paid
under the provisions of this Act shall go to and be used for
the purpose of the said board to defray its expenses.

Report to be
made in

Governor.

SEC. 14. It shall be the duty of the said board on or before
the third Monday in January, in each and every year, to make
a report, in writing, to the Governor of this State, containing
a detailed statement of the receipts and expenditures of said
board for the year ending on the last day of December, prior
thereto ; any balance of money remaining at the end of the
year, after the payment of the salary of the secretary and the
traveling and other necessary expenses of the board and the
secretary, incurred in the discharge of their duties as such,
shall be reserved by the treasurer of said board to meet the
necessary expensss for the ensuing year ; provided, however,
that this bill shall only apply to Baltimore city.
SEC. 15. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 161.
AN ACT to add additional Sections to Article 15 of the Code
of Public Local Laws, title "Kent County," sub-title
"Justices of the Peace and Constables," to be designated as
Sections 138 A, 138 B, 138 o, 138 D, 138 B, 138 F. 138 a, 138 H,
138 I.

New sections
added.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That additional sections be added to Article 15
of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Kent County," sub-
title "Justices of the Peace and Constables," to be designated
as 138 A, 138 B, 133 C, 138 D, 138 K, 138 F, 138 G, 138 H, 133 I,
and to read as follows :

Police Justice
appointed.

138 A. It shall be the duty of the Governor, after the
appointment of the justices of the peace, provided by law for
the Chestertown or fourth election district of Kent county, to
select from the justices so appointed for said district, one who
shall be known and designated as "Police Justice ;" the said
police justice shall have the same jurisdiction in criminal cases
as justices of the peace of Kent county now possess, and
which may hereafter be conferred upon them by and under
the laws of the State, but he shall have no civil jurisdiction.
The said police justice shall have the exclusive jurisdiction of,
and shall be required to try and determine all violations of the
criminal law which may arise in said fourth or Chestertown
election district of Kent county, within the jurisdiction now
