advices; to impose a license on all gas companies, water com-
panies, telephone and telegraph companies, brokers, real
estate and insurance companies and agencies locating or doing
business in said town ; provided, that no greater sum than ten
dollars be charged for any one license except telephone and
telegraph companies, which license shall not exceed two
dollars for each pole erected within the limits of the said
corporation.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 156.
AN ACT reducing the salary of the County Treasurer for
Kent County, State of Maryland.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of

Maryland. That the salary of the county treasurer for Kent
county, State of Maryland, shall be at the rate of fifteen
hundred dollars ($1,500) per annum from the first day of
May, A. D. 1904.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That all Acts and parts of Acts
inconsistent with the provisions of this Act be and the same
are hereby repealed.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the first day of June, 1904.
