CHAP. 157.

amendments, be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted
with amendments, so as to read as follows :
Section 27. It shall not be lawful for any person in Caroline

county to shoot, kill, catch or in any way entrap any woodcock
in said county between the fifteenth day of January and the
fourth day of July in each and every year ; nor any sora or
water rail between the fifteenth day of January and the
fifteenth day of September in each and every year; nor any
wild duck between the first day of April and the fifteenth day
of September in each and every year ; nor any squirrel between
the fifteenth day of January and the first day of September
in each an,d every year ; nor any partridges (or quail), rabbit
(or hare), between the fifteenth day of January and the
fifteenth day of November in each and every year; nor any
raccoon between the thirty-first day of March and the
fifteenth day of September in each and every year ; nor any
musk rat or otter between the fifteenth day of March and the
first day of December in each and every year ; and it shall be
unlawful for any person, at any time, to dig into and destroy
any muskrat home or den ; provided, however, that nothing-
herein contained is intended to prevent any person at any
time from digging out muskrats, minks or otters making dens
in or tunneling into a mill-dam, or from killing at any time
any of the animals depredating upon their property.
SEC. 2. And be it'enacted, That all Acts or parts of Acts
inconsistent with the provisions of this Act, whether the same

be embodied in the Code of Public Local Laws, or in the Code
of Public General Laws, be and the same is hereby repealed
so far as they relate to Caroline county.
SEC. 3. And le it enacted. That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 158.
AN ACT to repeal Section 3 of Chapter 237 of the Acts of
the General Assembly of Maryland, passed January Session,.
1894, entitled "an Act to repeal and re-enact with amend-
ments Chapter 202 of the Acts passed January Session,
1892, entitled an Act to regulate fishing with hook and line
in the waters of Back river, Seneca creek, Seneca river,
Salt Petre river and Middle river and their tributaries, in
Baltimore county," and to re-enact said Sections with
amendments.
