CHAP. 155.

amendments in so far as it relates to Howard county, so as to
read as follows :

Game law.

Section 13. No person shall shoot or in any manner catch
or kill any partridge or quail, English or Mongolian pheasant,
American pheasant, ruffled grouse, wild turkey or rabbit
between the twenty-fourth day of December and the tenth
day of November following in each and every year.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.
Approved April 8, 1902.

CHAPTER 155.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 77
of Article 7 of the Code of Public Local Laws, title
"Carroll County," sub-title "Manchester."
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of

Repeal and
re-enact.

Maryland, That section 77 of Article 7 of the Code of
Public Local Laws, title "Carroll County," sub-title "Man-
chester," be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted,
so as to read as follows :

by-laws, reg-
lations and
ordinances.

Section 77. They shall have power to make all such
by-laws, regulations and ordinances, not inconsistent with the
laws and Constitution of this State, as from time to time
they may deem wise, equitable and expedient other than those
hereinafter specified, for the comfort, health, convenience,
safety and prosperity of the town and its inhabitants, or the
prevention and extinguishment of fire in said town ; for the
prevention and removal of all nuisances, preservation of
health and suppression of vice and immorality within the
limits of the town ; to restrain or license theatrical or other
public exhibitions and amusements not taxed by the State,
within the limits of the corporation ; to license and prevent
dogs from running at large in said town, and for taxing them
and for the killing of all those having no recognized owners;
and to license and prevent swine, geese and duck from
running at large in the streets ; to regulate and provide for
the issuing of licenses or permits for all hawking, peddling
and vending of wares and merchandise of every description
upon the streets or highways of the said town, and to issue
licenses or permits to all itinerant peddlers who may go from
house to bouse to sell or to vend any wares or merchandise;
to issue license to any and all persons entering or beginning
transient business in said town for the sale of goods, wares or
merchandise; to regulate and provide for the issuing of license
to all traveling persons who dispense medicines or medical
