S EO. 3. And be it enacted, That the clerk of said Court
shall not grant a license to any person or persons for the
taking, catching or gathering crabs . in the waters, of said
county, who has not been a bona fide resident of said county
for at least the term of twelve months next preceding the
issuing of said license.

CHAP. 120.

Who
may obtain

license.

Section 4. And be it enacted. That the clerk of said Court
shall charge and receive from each and every person applying
for a license for the taking, catching and gathering of crabs
for a livelihood in the waters of said county the sum of two
dollars, and in addition thereto shall receive the sum of
twenty- five cents for each and every license issued by him ;
each license granted and issued by said clerk shall be num-
bered consecutively.

Clerk's fee.

SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That the said clerk shall account
for and pay over to the County Treasurer of said county all
moneys received by him for said licenses, which shall be by1
said County Treasurer credited to the school fund of said
county.
SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That any person or persons who
shall take, catch or gather crabs for a livelihood during the

closed season or without a license, as hereinbefore provided,
shall be deemed guilty of misdemeanor, and upon conviction
thereof before any justice of the peace, shall be fined not less
than ten nor more tiian twenty-five dollars, or confinement in
the county jail for not more than the period of three months;
one-half of the said tine is to go to the informer or informers;
said tines are to collected as other tines are collected under the
laws of this State.

SEC. 7. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 121.
AN ACT to add an additional section to Article 27 of the
Code of Public General Laws of Maryland, title "Crimes
and Punishments," sub-title "Fraud," by adding a new
section thereto, to be known as Section 119 A.

Guilty of
Misdemeanor

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That an additional section be added to article 27
of the Code of Public General Laws of Maryland, title
"Crimes and Punishments," sub-title "Fraud," to be known as
section 119 A. and to read as follows:
