CHAP. 117.

WHEREAS, Under said claim of the State of Maryland the

Preamble

William Fait Company of Baltimore City erroneously paid to
the State Treasurer the sum of six hundred and ninety-four
dollars and twenty-three cents ($694.23) since April 6, 1894;
and
WHEREAS, Under said claim of the State of Maryland the
John Boyle Company erroneously paid to the State Treasurer
the sum of one hundred and twelve dollars and thirty-one
cents ($112.31) since April 6, 1894; and
WHEREAS, Under said claim of the State of Maryland the
firm of H. J. McGrath and Company erroneously paid to the
State Treasurer the sum of five dollars and seventy-three
cents ($5.73) since April 6, 1894; and
WHEREAS, Under said claim of the State of Maryland the
firm of William H. Killiam erroneously paid to the State
Treasurer the sum of three dollars ($3) since April 6, 1894;
and
WHEREAS, The Attorney-General of Maryland has declared
that all of said tax collected since April 6, 1894, has been
illegally collected.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted Inj the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the sum of money hereinafter named be and
they are hereby appropriated to and for the re-payment of said

taxes collected, as aforesaid : To the firm of Thomas Kensett
& Company the sum of two hundred and ninety-two dollars
and twenty-two cents ($292.22). To the firm of A. Booth &
Company the sum of one hundred and seventy-five dollars and
sixty-five cents ($175.65). To the firm of Miller Brothers &
Company the sum of two hundred and twelve dollars and
sixty-three cents ($212.63). To the firm of W. W. Boyer &
Company the sum of five hundred and eight dollars and
twenty-nine cents ($508. 29). To the Martin Wagner Company
of Baltimore City the sum of two thousand three hundred and
seventy-three dollars ($2,373). To the firm of Thomas J.
Myer & Company the sum of twenty-six dollars and eighty-
four cenls ($26.84). To the firm of Moore and Brady the
sum of eight hundred and thirty dollars and fifty-one cents
($830.51). To the Gibbs Preserving Company of Baltimore
City the sum of two thousand one hundred and thirty-one
dollars and ninety-nine cents ($2,131.99). To the firm of J.
S. Farren & Company the sum of tive hundred and fourteen
dollars and forty-one cents ($514.41). To the firm of Platt &
Company the sum of one hundred and forty-three dollars and
