three citizens of this State, as may seem best to him, whose
duty it shall be to report, if possible to thia, if not, to the
next General Assembly of Maryland, a modification of what
is known as the "Torrens" plan, relating to transfers of real
estate, such modification making said system of transfer con-
formable, as nearly as may be, to ttie laws now existing in thia
State; provided, however, such commission shall further re-
port such amendment to the existing law relating to real estate
as it shall deem advisable to facilitate the workings of such
modified "Torrens" plan.

Appropria-
tion.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That for the purpose of paying
the expenses of such commission the sum of twenty dollars,
or so much thereof as may be necessary, be and the same is
hereby appropriated, and the Treasurer of the State, on the
warrant of the Comptroller, shall disburse the same for the
objects and purposes herein specified to or upon the order of
the commission to be appointed as aforesaid.

Effective.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 85.

AN ACT to repeal Sections 267, 268, 269, 270, 271 and 272
of Article ten of the Code of Public Local Laws, title
"Dorchester County," sub-title "Roads," also section 275 of
said Article ten of the Code of Public Local Laws, title
"Dorchester County," sub-title '"Roads," as re enacted at the
January Session of eighteen hundred and ninety-four, and
to re-enact the following sections in lieu thereof.

Repeal.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That sections 267, 268, 269, 270, 271, and 272 of
article 10 of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Dorchester
Connty," sub-title "Roads," also section 275 of aforesaid
Article ten, title "Dorchester County," sub-title "Roads," as
enacted at the January Session of eighteen hundred and
ninety-four, be and the same are hereby repealed and re-enacted
so as to read as follows :
