being the sum erroneously paid into the treasury of said
county, by the said Elias E. Marsh, for county taxes for the

1890, 1891, 1892, 1893, 1894, and 1895, inclusive, of each

CHAPTER 83.

AN ACT to increase the present number of Justices of the
Peace in the Seventh Election District of Baltimore County,
Maryland.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That in addition to the present number of justices of

now provided by law, there shall be appointed an additional
justice, and the Governor is hereby authorized to appoint
and commission said additional justice of the peace for said
district.

CHAPTER 84.

AN ACT to create a commission to prepare and report a
modification suitable for adoption in the State of Maryland
of the "Torrens" plan, relating to transfers of real estate,
and also to prepare and report amendments to the laws
relating to real estate necessary in connection therewith.

Effective.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-,
land, That the Governor be and he is hereby authorized to
nominate, and, by and with advice and consent of the Senate,
appoint a commission to consist of three members thereof, or
