LAWS OF MARYLAND.

May purchase
bridge.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the County Commissioners of Worcester county
be and they are hereby authorized and empowered to contract
with the Ocean City Bridge Company, or with any lessee
thereof, to lease or purchase, as the case may be, the bridge
. across Synepuxeut bay from Handcock Point to Ocean city
in Worcester county, or to lease or purchase any other bridge
that may be built, in the future, at or near Ocean city in Wor-
cester county, by any other company, individual or corpora-
tion, upon such terms as may be agreed upon; and the said
Ocean City Bridge Company, or any other corporation now
existing or to be created in the future, shall have power and
authority to contract with the County Commissioners of Wor-
cester county, for the abpve purpose.

Repeal.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That all acts and parts of acts
inconsistent with the provisions of this act, be and the same
are hereby repealed.

Effective.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 433.

AN ACT to amend the charter of the Methodist Episcopal
Church of Cherry Hill, Cecil county, Maryland, and to
make valid certain conveyances of land intended to be to
said church corporation and to make valid the acts of certain,
trustees of said corporation, not elected according to the pro-
visions of the charter thereof.

Preamble.

WHEREAS, Because of the indefinite wording of the charter
of said church, doubts prevail as to the correct corporate name
of said church corporation; and

WHEREAS, Since said corporation was formed, it has pur-
chased certain lots of land for burial and other purposes, and
the deeds therefor were made to the trustees thereof, instead of
to the said corporation, and doubt prevails because thereof, and
because of the indefiniteness as to said corporation title, as to
the validity of said deeds; and

Preamble.

WHEREAS, Because of a misconstruction of the provisions
of the said charter, certain of the trustees of the said corpora-
tion have not been elected according to the provisions of said
