CHAPTER 405.
AN ACT to forbid the maintaining or laying of any tracks for
Street Railway or other purposes on Cedar avenue, in Balti-
more city.

Unlawful to
lay tracks.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the maintenance or laying of any tracks for street
railway or other purposes on Cedar avenue, in the city of Balti-
more, be, and is hereby forbidden.

|
|
Effective.
|
SEC. 2. Be it enacted, That this act shall take effect from
the date of its passage.
Approved April 4th, 1896.
CHAPTER 406.
AN ACT to repeal Chapter 677 of the Acts of the General
Assembly of Maryland of 1892, entitled "An Act to author-
ize and empower Wyatt Owen to build a bridge from a point
on the shore of the Patapsco river, nsar Lester's wharf, to
connect with Light-street bridge, over the Patapsco river,"
and to re-enact the same with amendments.

Repeal.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That chapter 677 of Acts of the General Assembly of
Maryland of 1892, entitled "An Act to authorize and empower
Wyatt Owen to build a bridge from a point on the shore of
the Patapsco river, near Lester's ,wharf, to connect with Light-
street bridge, over the Patapsco river," be, and the same is
hereby repealed and re-enacted, so as to read as follows :

SEC. 2. Be it enacted, That Wyatt Owen, his heirs and
assigns, be, and are hereby authorized and empowered to con-
struct a bridge from the shore of the Patapsco river, at or near
Lester's wharf, and to connect the same with the Light-street
bridge over said Patapsco river; the proposed bridge shall not
be connected with the Light-street bridge nearer than 900 feet
south of the " draw " in said bridge as at present located. The
connection shall be made and maintained by said Owen, his
heirs and assigns, under the supervision of the Commissioner
of Baltimore city, free of any cost or charge whatever to the
city of Baltimore.
