WHEREAS, Under the said charter or certificate of incorpo-
ration, it is provided that the said company shall be authorized
to construct and operate a railroad running through Dorchester
county in said State, beginning at the town of Cambridge and
ending at Golden Hill in said county; and

Preamble.


WHEREAS, The said corporation desires to have its charter
amended, so that it may be authorized to construct and operate
a railroad running through the county aforesaid, beginning at
the town of Cambridge in said county and ending at Fox
creek therein.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the charter of the said Cambridge and Chesapeake
Railroad Company, be and the same is hereby amended; and
that the said corporation shall be authorized and empowered
to construct and operate a railroad running through Dorches-
ter county, beginning at the town of Cambridge in said county
and ending at Fox creek therein; and the said corporation
shall have all the rights, privileges and franchises in, about and
concerning the route and line of said railroad, described in
this amendment, to all intents and purposes as if said route
and line had been designated and prescribed in the said origi-
nal certificate of incorporation.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 380.

AN ACT to repeal Sections 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 13, 19, 24, 26, 21
and 28 of Chapter 520 of the Acts of the General Assembly
of Maryland, passed at the January session in the year 1894
entitled "An Act to amend the charter of the Town of
Brunswick, in Frederick County," and to re-enact the same
with amendments.

Effective.


SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, that sections 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 13, 19, 24, 26, 27 and 28 of
chapter 520 of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland
passed at the January session in the year 1894, entitled "An
Act to amend the charter of the town of Brunswick, in Freder
ick county," be, and the same are hereby repealed and re-enacted
so as to read as follows :
