demnation.

materials may be needed, the said company may proceed to-
condemn and acquire the use of the same for the purposes
of said railroad or for the purposes of the motive power
thereof, in the manner provided for by the Code of Public
General Laws, Article 23, sections 167, 169 and 173, inclusive,
so far as the same may be applicable, and may condemn land,
easements, rights of way, material and privileges for the pur-
poses of the company in the manner aforesaid, and shall have
all other rights, privileges and powers which are granted by
the general laws, so far as the same does not conflict herewith.

SEC. 7. And be it enacted, That the said company shall
also have power to manufacture and sell and to furnish such

desired, at any point in Cecil county, and to contract for and
furnish electric light for lighting the streets, public and private
buildings in said county, or of any city or town therein, and
for motive power and other purposes; and the said corpora-
tion is hereby authorized and empowered to lay, purchase, con-
struct or build lines and conductors and conduits, under, along,
upon or over the streets, squares, lanes, alleys, roads or ways
whatsoever in said county, or any city or town therein, and1
over, under and along any private property in said county,
the consent of the owner or owners thereof being first had
and obtained, and to connect the same with any manufactory,
car or conveyance, and in general to manufacture, sell, furnish
or supply, electric light and electric power or street electricity,
and electric machinery and supplies -for any and all purposes
that may be desired or required, and to use the necessary
means to accomplish the purposes of this incorporation; and
said corporation is also empowered to use any of the streets,
roads, alleys and highways of the said county, or the streets,
lanes or alleys of any town in the said county; said corpora-
tion shall be subject to any law or ordinance that may be passed
by said municipal authorities of said town or city, or the
County Commissioners of said county, for the filling up,
repairing or restoring such streets, roads or highways to their
normal condition.

SEC. 8. And be it enacted, That this company is hereby
authorized to enter into agreements with any passenger rail-
way company of this or other States, for the making of track
connections and to make agreements with such railways for the
company of the passengers of each over the other; and said
company hereby incorporated is authorized to lease or consoli-
date with other railways.
