LLOYD LOWNDES, ESQUIRE, GOVERNOR.

equipments, implements, materials and chattels, legal and equit-
able rights, title and interest, sold by the receivers of the Balti-
more and Drum Point Railroad Company, incorporated under
the provisions of act of 1868, chapter 364, to Edward Lanter-
bach, and by said Edward Lauterbach subsequently conveyed
to the Baltimore and Drum Point Railroad Company, incerpo-
rated by the certificate and supplemental certificate aforesaid,
except in so far as the said franchises, corporate rights, powers
and privileges are in this act expressly changed or altered; pro-
vided, however, that nothing in this act shall be held or con-
strued to revive or give effect to any provision in any of said
acts or in any other act relating to said railroad authorizing the
county commissioners of Anne Arundel county to subscribe to,
the capital stock of said Baltimore and Drum Point Railroad,
or to submit the question touching said subscription to the vot-
ers of Anne Arundel county, and that each and every provision,
contained in any of the acts aforesaid or in any other such act,
authorizing such submission and subscription be, and the same
is hereby repealed.

SEC. 2. Be it further enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 272.

AN ACT to authorize the several turnpike roads or com-
panies in Washington County, to charge and collect tolls
from persons using bicycles and other like vehicles on said
roads.

Effective.


SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the several turnpike road companies in Washing-
ton county, in addition to the tolls now authorized by their
charters and the amendments and supplements thereto, to be
charged and collected by them, be and they are hereby author-
ized to charge and collect the following tolls for every bicycle,
tricycle or like vehicle the sum of one cent for passing over
said road, through or by each and every toll-gate or toll-gate
station thereon.
