Payment of
appropria-
tion.

SEC. 2. Be it further enacted, That the Treasurer of the
State be and he is hereby authorized and directed, upon the
warrant of the Comptroller of the Treasury, to pay the said
sum of twenty-five hundred dollars to the order of the treas-
urer of said Morgan College, out of any moneys not other-
wise appropriated.

Effective.


SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

Approved April 2, 1896.

CHAPTER 262.

AN ACT to add an additional section to Article 20 of the
Code of Public Local Laws, title "Somerset County," sub-
title "Crisfield," to be numbered and designated as section
66 A.

New Section

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the following section be added to the Code of
Public Local Laws, title "Somerset County," sub-title ^Cris-
field," to be numbered and designated as section 66 A.

66 A. The Commissioners of Crisfield shall have power to
pass such ordinance or ordinances as they may deem necessary
for the granting of licenses and permits for the advertising
and sale of damaged goods or articles, goods or articles dam-
aged by fire or otherwise, receivers, bankrupt, assigns, slaugh-
ter, forced or closing out sales, indicating or implying that the
goods or articles are to be offered at less than the usual market
price; provided, that nothing in this section shall apply to
advertising and sale made by administrators, trustees, assigns
or receivers under order of a court of law.

Effective.
