SEC. 2. And be it farther enacted, That no bottoms shall be
located or appropriated by any person or body corporate for
the planting of shells or oysters which are grassy or suitable
for the catching of soft shell or shedder crabs, where such crabs
are usually caught with scrape, drag-net or otherwise.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That any person or body corpo-
rate violating the provisions of the two preceding sections shall
be judged guilty of a misdemeanor before any justice of the
peace in Somerset county or the Circuit Court in and for said
county, and upon conviction, shall pay a fine of not less than
fifty dollars, nor more than two hundred dollars for each and
every offense, and shall stand committed to the county jail,
until fine and cost are fully paid.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That all acts or parts of acts
inconsistent or in conflict with this act in so far as they or any
part of them apply to Somerset county, the same shall be and
are hereby repealed.

SEC. 5. Be it enacted, That this act shall take effect from
the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 261.
AN ACT to appropriate a certain sum of money to aid Mor-
gan College, a body corporate, duly incorporated for the
education of the colored people, under the General Laws of
Maryland, and an amendatory Act of the General Assembly
of Maryland, passed at the January session of 1890, to be
used for the erection at Princess Anne in Somerset County,
Maryland, of an additional building, to increase the facili-
ties for the industrial education of the colored people of
Maryland, as carried on by said college at Princess Anne.

SECTION 1. And be it further enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the sum of twenty -five hundred dollars
be and the same is hereby appropriated to aid Morgan College
in the erection of an additional building to provide better facili-
ties for the industrial education of the colored people at Princess
Anne, in Somerset county, Maryland.
