CHAPTER 242.
AN ACT to appropriate a sum of money to pay the claim of
Dr. John H. Jamar, for his expenses in attending the
sessions of the American Public Health Association, at
Denver.

Preamble.
|
WHEREAS, Dr. John H. Jamar, as a member of the State
Board of Health, and at the instance and direction of said
board, attended the sessions of the American Public Health
Association at Denver, and was compelled to expend the sum
of one hundred and nine dollars and thirty-five cents, for his
personal expenses in attending said association; therefore,
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-

land, That the Comptroller of the Treasury, be and he is
hereby authorized and directed to issue his warrant upon the
Treasurer of the State, to pay to Dr. John H. Jamar, the sum
of one hundred and nine dollars and thirty-five cents for his
expenses in attending the sessions of the American Health
Association at Denver, to be paid out of any unused portion of
the contingence fund, one thousand dollars appropriated for
the use of the State Board of Health, by chapter 633 of the
Act of the General Assembly of 1894.

Effective.
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 243.
AN ACT to add a new section to Article 45 of the Code of
Public General Laws, title "Husband and Wife," to follow
Section 2, and to be designated as ''Section 2 A."

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and the same is hereby added to
Article 45 of the Code of Public General Laws, title "Hus-
band and Wife," to follow section 2, and to be designated as
"section 2 A, and to read as follows:

2 A. Where any married woman is a lunatic or iusane, and
has been so found upon inquisition, and said finding remains
in force, her husband may grant and convey any real estate
which he may have acquired since said married woman was so
