LAWS OF MARYLAND.

after payment of the proper and legitimate cost, expenses,
taxes and commissions, and shall be preferred to all claims
against the property and estate of such insolvent person or
body corporate, except the lien claims of such persons as shall
hold liens upon such property or estate, recorded at least three
months prior to such assignment, adjudication or decree.

Effective.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 185.

AN ACT to amend an Act passed at the January session of
the General Assembly in 1894 (Laws of Maryland, 1894,
Chapter 129), entitled an Act to authorize the Trustees of
the Methodist Episcopal Church, in the city and precinct of
Baltimore, to acquire land for the enlargement of Mount
Olive Cemetery, and to sell the land now held or that may
hereafter be acquired by it for the purpose of a cemetery.

Preamble.

WHEREAS, In an Act of the General Assembly of Mary-
land, passed at the January sessiou, 1894 (chapter 129 of the
Laws of the State of Maryland, 1894), entitled an act to
authorize the Trustees of the Methodist Episcopal Church in
the city and precincts of Baltimore, to acquire land for the
enlargement of Mount Olive Cemetery, and to sell the land
now held, or that may hereafter be acquired by it, for the pur-
pose of a cemetery, the word Olive was used where the word
"Olivet" was intended, so that in said act the cemetery was
described as Mount Olive Cemetery, instead of Mount Olivet
Cemetery, to correct which error,

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the said act is hereby amended and re-enacted so
that wherever in said act or the title thereof, the word Olive
occurs it shall read and be "Olivet," and the said act shall in
every way have the same power and force that it would have
had if the word Olivet had been used instead of Olive,
wherever said word Olive occurs in said act.
