CHAPTER 162.
AN ACT to ratify and confirm certain privileges heretofore
granted by the County Commissioners for Baltimore county
unto the Baltimore, Middle River and Sparrows Point Rail-
road, and to grant other privileges to said railroad, for the
use of other roads and streets in Baltimore county.
WHEREAS, The Baltimore, Middle River and Sparrows

Point Railroad has under the authority of the County Commis-
sioners for Baltimore county, constructed and built its railroad
tracks upon certain streets and roads in Baltimore county, and
is about to further construct and build its railroad tracks upon
other streets and roads in Baltimore county, with and under the
authority of the said County Commissioners for Baltimore
county.

Preamble.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the authority heretofore granted by the County
Commissioners for Baltimore county to the Baltimore, Middle
River and Sparrows Point Railroad, to construct its tracks upon
certain streets and roads in said county, be and the same is
hereby ratified and confirmed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted. That the Baltimore,
Middle River and Sparrows Point Railroad, be and it is
hereby authorized to use other streets and roads in the twelfth
election district of Baltimore county, for the purpose of laying
its railroad tracks thereon; provided, however, before any such
use shall be made by said railroad of such other streets and
roads, permission for such use shall first be obtained from the
County Commissioners for Baltimore county; and provided
further, that when such use shall be made of county roads
there shall be left at least twenty feet of such road for the free
and unobstructed use of the public.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.
