CHAPTER 23.

AN ACT to repeal Chapter one hundred and seventy-six of
the Acts passed at the January session, eighteen hundred
and ninety-two, entitled "An Act to repeal and re-enact
with amendments Section 123 of Article 22 of Public Local
Laws, title 'Washington County,' sub-title 'Election Dis-
tricts,' " and to re-enact the same with amendments.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Chapter 176 of the Acts of the General Assembly
of Maryland, passed at the January session of eighteen hun-
dred and ninety-two, entitled "An Act to repeal and re-enact
with amendments section 123 of Article 22 of the Code of Pub-
lic Local Laws, title 'Washington County,' sub-title ' Election
Districts,' " be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted
with amendments, so as to read as follows:

Bepeal.

123. The County Commissioners shall have power and
authority to create new election districts in addition to those
already established, whenever, in their judgment, the conve-
nience of the voters of the county or any part thereof will
thereby be promoted; and shall also have power to abridge or
enlarge any districts heretofore established by the Legislature
or which may hereafter be established by said commissioners ;
and shall have the further power to designate the places of
holding the election polls in all election districts.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

Approved March 6th, 1896.

Effective.

CHAPTER 24.

AN ACT to sanction and make valid an assignment from the
Trustees of the Agndath Acheni Ohel Jacob Vishayer
Hebrew Congregation of Baltimore City, a body corporate,
duly incorporated under the laws of the State of Maryland
to the trustees of the Ohel Jacob Vishayer Hebrew Congre-
gation of Baltimore City, a body corporate duly incorporated
under the Laws of the State of Maryland, dated April 17th,
1894, and assigning all the property of all and every kind
of the said the Trustees of the Agndath Acheni Ohel Jacob
