CHAPTER 41.

supplement to the act, entitled an act f or the benefit of the
infant children of Benjamin B. Wroth, late of Kent county,
deceased, passed December Session, eighteen hundred and
twenty five, chapter two hundred and seventeen.

CHAP. 41.

Passed February,
1838.

Whereas, by an act passed December session eighteen hun-
dred and twenty-five, chapter two hundred and seventeen,
John Wroth, late of Kent county, deceased, was authorised
and empowered to divide a lot of parcel of wood land lying
and being in Kent county, devised by Benjamin B, Wroth,
to his infant children Editha G. Wroth, Benjamin B. Wroth,
and William G. Wroth, according to the terms and provisions
of the last will and testament of Benjamin B. Wroth, of Kent
county, deceased, and to mark and Hound the same when
so divided; and whereas the said John Wroth, late of Kent
county, deceased, was compelled by the said act to return a
plat of the said lot or parcel of wood land when so divided
to the. office of Register of Wills for said county, specifying
the number of acres in each portion so laid off, and whereas a
division and plat of the said lot or parcel of Weodland,was made
by the said John Wroth, late of Kent county deceased, ac-
cording to the terms and provisions of said act, but the plat
was not returned. Therefore

Preamble,

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
laud, That Peregrine Granger, executor of saic John Wroth,
late of Kent county, deceased, shall return the aforesaid
plat to the office of the Register of Wills for Kent county, on or
before the first Monday of May next.

SEC. 2 And be it enacted, That the justices of the orphans
court of said county, and the guardians of said minors shall
proceed in the same manner, and be vested with the same
powers as prescribed in the second section of said act.

CHAPTER 42,

 

An act to provide for the making the several Turnpike Roads, and
for the extension of the charters of the several Banks therein
mentioned.

Passed February 6
1828.

SECTION 1, Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Ma-
ryland, that the charters of the Farmers Bank of Maryland
and its branches, th'e Farmers and Mechanics Bank of Fre-
derick county and its branch, and the Frederick county bank,
shall be, and they are hereby extended to the first day of J an-
uary, eighteen hundred and forty-five, and to the end of the
next session oi the general assembly thereafter, upon condi-
tion that the Farmers Bank of Maryland, the Farmers and
Mechanics bank of Frederick county, and the Frederick coun-
ty bank, do and shall before the first day of January eighteen
