1828

A resolution in favor of Thomas Lynch, of Saint Mary's county.

Half pay of private

Revived, That the treasurer of the Western Shore pay to
Thomas Lynch, of Saint Mary's county, or to his order, dur-
ing life, in half yearly payments, a sum of money equal to the
half pay of a private, as a further remuneration for his services
during the revolutionary war.

A resolution, with its preamble authorising a grant to the heirs of Ro-
bert Chesley, late of Saint Mary's county, of a certain quantity of
vacant land, lying to the westward of Fort Cumberland in Allegany
county

Preamble.

WHEREAS, it appears to this General Assembly, that Ro-
bert Chesley, a captain in the Maryland line of the revolu-
tionary war, late of Saint Mary's county, was entitled, under
the acts relative to the grant of military bounty lands to the-
westward of Fort Cumberland, to four lots, or two hundred
acres of said land; and whereas it appears that the said Robert
Chesley has never received his proportion of said bounty
lands, and that the lots surveyed for that purpobe, under the
resolution of seventeen hundred and eighty seven, have either
been distributed amongst the officers and soldiers, or have
been thrown into the common mass of vacant land in Allega-
ay county; and also, that the said ,Chesley is since dead, leave
ing heirs at law:

Warrant for 200
acres granted

Resolved, That the register of the land office for the Western
Shore be, and he is hereby authorised and directed to issue to
to the heirs at law of said Robert Chesley, a common warrant
for two hundred acres of vacant land, lying to the westward
of Fort Cumberland, in Allegany county, and to issue a pa-
tent for the said quantity of acres of land, upon a certificate
of survey thereof, duly returned, without requiring payment,
or proof of payment, of any composition money thereon.

A resolution in favor of f he heirs o/ Thomas Parran, authorising a
grant to them of a certain quantity of vacant land lying to the west-
ward of fort Cumberland.

Warrant for 200

acres, granted

Resolved, That the register of the land office for the West-
ern Shore be, and he is hereby authorised and directed to
issue to the heirs of Thomas Parran a common warrant for
two hundred acres of vacant land lying to the westward of
Fort Cumberland, in Alleghany county, and to issue a patent
for the said quantity of acres of land, upon a certificate of
survey thereof duly returned, whithout requiring payment, or
proof of payment, of any composition money thereon.
