RESOLUTIONS,

 

belonging to the state library, to be bound as they from time to
time may deem necessary or expedient, and that they draw on
the treasurer of the Western Shore for any sum not exceed-
ing fifty dollars, for the present year, and the sum of twenty-
five dollars for each and every year hereafter to carry into
effect the object of this resolution.

A resolution concerning Aaron Crawford, of Washington County.

Release from pri-
son

Resolved, ly the General Assembly of Maryland. That the
sheriff of Washinton county be, and he is hereby directed and
required to release immediately from confinement, Aaron
Crawford, at present imprisoned in the jail of Washington.
county: Provided, nevertheless. That such release shall not

operate to discharge the property which may, be now or at a-
ny- time hereafter owned or acquired by said Aaron from lia-
bility to pay and satisfy all lawful claims against him, arising
in any manner whatever.

1828

A resolution allowing the Chancellor and the Treasurer for the Western
Shore the same access to, and use of the Library established for the
use of the Legistature, as the members there of, and authorising the
delivery to said Treasurer for the use of his office copies of certain
dooks therein mentioned.

Deliver index, &c

Resolved, That the chancellor of this state and the treasur-
er for the. Western Shore, shall be allowed as free access to
and use of, the library established for the use of the legisla-
ture, and the members thereof, or of the executive or the
Judges of the court of appeals; and the governor and council
be, and they are hereby authorised and requested to cause to
be delivered to the said treasurer, for the use of his office, a
copy of the index to the laws of Maryland, from the year
Eighteen hundred and nineteen, to eighteen hundred and twen-
ty-five inclusive, and one copy of each volume of Harris and
Johnson's Reports now on hand, or hereafter to be received.

1828

A resolution authorising the Levy Court of Worcester County, to levy
a sum of money, to compensate Charles Farrow, jailor ; of saw
county, for his trouble and expenditures, in taking charge of, and
victualting; certain negroes, who have petitioned the county court of
mid county for freedom.

Levy authorised

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland That the
levy court of Worcester county be, and they are hereby au-
thorised at their discretion, to levy upon the assessable pre-
