give every aid and support to the claims of the surviving officers and soldiers of the revolution now before the national legislature, rendering to said surviving officers, and to said soldiers respectively, the measure of justice to which they may be entitled.

A Resolution in favor of Samuel Mearns, of Cecil county.	Passed February 6 1828
Resolved, That the state's attorney for the, fifth judicial dis- trict, dismiss the case now pending in the Cecil county court, against Samuel Mearns, at the instance of the state, and that the treasurer of the Eastern Shore pay all costs against plain- tiff or defendant in said case, and return to said Mearns, the sum of thirty dollars, being the amount of uncurrent notes received from him by the late treasurer of the Eastern Shore; whenever the said Mearns shall pay, or cause to be paid to the said treasurer the sum of thirty dollars in current money of Maryland, in liquidation of a balance due by him as collector of the revenue for Cecil county.	Suit dismissed- pay costs— return money.

A resolution in favor of Richard Nagle, of Cambria county. Pennsylvania	Passed February 14 1828
Resolved, That the treasurer of the Western Shore, pay to Richard Nagle, of Cambria county, Pennsylvania, or to his order, during life, in half yearly payments, a sum of money equal to the half pay of a private, as a further remuneration for his services during the revolutionary war. Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the Governor and Council be, and they are hereby requested to furnish information to the Legislature, as early as practicably whether the Chancery papers which by resolution of Decem- ber session, eighteen hundred and twenty five, were directed to be recorded, have been so recorded, and by whom, and what quantity, if any, still remain to be recorded; how much money has been paid to each individual engaged in such service, specifying the particular services performed by each, and in	Information requi- red of the Govern- or and council
