CHAP. 156

1828

CHAPTER 156,

An act authorising the Levy Court of Talbot county to levy on
the assessable property of said county the expenses incurred
at a special court of oyer and terminer and gaol delivery
held at Easton, in said county, on the twenty third day of
January eighteen hundred and twenty eight, and conti-
nued by adjournment until the twenty sixth (fay of said
month.

Levy authorised

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the levy court of Talbot county be, and they are hereby au-
thorised to levy on the assessable property of said county a
sum sufficient to pay the clerk of the county, jurors, bailiffs
and witnesses who attended a special court of oyer and ter-
iminer and gaol delivery, held for Talbot county, at Easton
in said county, on Wednesday, the twenty-third day of Janu-
ary, eighteen hundred and twenty-eight, and continued by
adjournment until the twenty-sixth of said month.

 

CHAPTER 157.

Passed March 10,
1823.

An act for the repairing of a bridge over the mam falls of Pa-
tapsco , on the Deer-park road, in Baltimore county.

Preamble

WHEREAS, it is represented to this General Assembly,
that the bridge over the main falls of Patapsco on the Deer-
park road, in Baltimore county, is now in a state of dclapida-
tion: Therefore,

Review directed—
levy authorised.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the commissioners of Baltimore county be, and they are here-
by authorised to appoint three discreet persons to view the
said bridge, and report to the commissioners of said county
the probable expense of repairing the same; and if in the
judgment of the commissioners of said county, they shall
deem it necessary to levy a further sum sufficient for the re-
pairs or completion of said bridge, not exceeding three hun-
dred dollars; they are hereby authorised to levy the same and
have it collected, and paid over for the purpose.

 

CHAPTER 158.

1828

An act to make valid a certain deed therein mentioned, and for
other purposes.

Deed made valid

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
a deed of manumission, dated the sixteenth day of February,
eighteen hundred and twenty-five, recorded in liber A. B,
No. 3, folio five hundred and twenty-two, one of the land re-
cords of Prince George's county, executed by Eiizabtth
Gantt, whereby it was intended to give freedom to a certain
