LAWS OF MARYLAND,

CHAP. 24,

and twenty four, chapter forty six, and the supplement passed
December session, eighteen hundred and twenty five, chapter
ninety five, to an act, entitled, An act to incorporate the Trus.
tees of the Westminster General Meeting house in Frederick
county, passed at May session, eighteen hundred and three,,
be, and the same are hereby repealed.

CHAPTER 25.

An act for the division of Queen Ann's County into Election
Districts.

Fire districts,

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That in conformity to an act, entitled^ an act to change
and repeal so much of the constitution and form of govern-
ment of this state, as relates to the division of Queen Anne's
county into election districts, passed at December session
eighteen hundred and twenty-six, and of the confirmatory
act, passsd at December session eighteen hundred and twenty-
seven, Queen Anne's county shall be divided into five elec-
tion districts.

SEC, 2. And be it enacted, That in accordance with the be-
fore recited acts, Thomas Emory, William Grayson, Edward
Tilghman, John W, Bordley, and James Massey, be, and
they are hereby appointed commissioners; and they, or a ma-
jority of them, or a majority of the survivors of them,
are hereby authorised and required to lay off and divide the
third election district in Que n Anne's county, into two elec-
tion districts, having a clue regard to the convenience of the
voters in the saiddistricts; and the said commissioners, or a
majority of them, or a majority of the survivors of them, shall
on or before the twentieth day of June next, make out and
deliver to the clerk of the county court of said county, a dis-
cription in writing, under their hands and seals, specifying
the division line between the two districts so laid off and divi-
ded, and also the numbers of each district in said county, and
the place in each district laid off by them under the provi-
sions of this act, where the elections for said district shall be
held, and the said clerk shall record the same amongst the re-
cords of the said county.

SEC 3, And be it enacted, That the commissioners ap-
pointed by this act, or a majority of them, or a majority of
the survivors of them, shall meet at Queen's Town in said
county, on the third Monday of May next, for the purpose of
performing the duties prescribed by this act; and the commis-
sioner or commissioners so meeting, may adjourn from day t»
day, and from place to place, as circumstances may require.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That the said commissioners
shall receive two dollars each, for each and every day they
shall be employed in discharging the duties required of them,
by this act, to be levied and assessed on the said county as
