LAWS OF MARYLAND,

CHAP. 184,

cords of the court cf appeals of the western shore, in liber T. H.
No. 1, folio 211, and on receiving the proceeds of such sale, to
invest the same in such stock, funds, public debt, or other secu-
rities, as the said Rebecca Smith, by writing signed by her, shall
direct, nevertheless in trust for the same uses and purposes as
are expressed in the aforesaid indenture or deed of trust, to be
plainly expressed in every transfer or instrument of writing by
which any such investment shall be made or secured, with full
power to the said Rebecca Smith, and she is hereby authorised
to direct, at any time during her life, a change of the stock,
funds, public debt, or other security, in which such investment
shall be made and secured, and also by deed executed, acknow-
ledged and recorded, as herein before directed, to appoint one or
more trustees in the room of any of those which she shall have
previously appointed as herein authorised, who shall die, resign,
or refuse to act, with the same powers, and subject to the same

restrictions, control and direction; Provided, before any thing
be done under or by virtue of this act, bond, in such penalty as
shall be prescribed by Baltimore county court, shall be given by
the trustees to the state of Maryland, with such security as the
said court shall approve, conditioned for the faithful perform-
ance of the duties and trusts imposed upon, or reposed in them
by virtue of this act, and that said bond shall be recorded among
the records of Baltimore county court, and a copy thereof, un-
der the seal of the court, shall be received in evidence in the
several courts of this state, in the same manner, and to the same
effect, as the original bond.

CHAP. CLXXXV.
An Act to divorce Theodore Kimmel, and Elizabeth Kimmel his Wife, of
the City of Baltimore.

1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the said Theodore Kimmel be, and he is hereby divorced
from bed, board and mutual cohabitation, with his wife Eliza-
beth Kimmel.

2. And be it enacted. That the said Elizabeth Kimmel shall
not, by virtue of her marriage with the said Theodore Kimmel,
be authorised to have or claim any right or interest in the es-
tate, real, personal or mixed, of the said Theodore Kimmel, to
be by him acquired after the passage of this act, nor shall the
5aid Theodore Kimmel be liable for any debts which may be
contracted by the said Elizabeth Kimmel, after the passage of
this act

Levy authorised

CHAP. CLXXXVI.
An Act to authorise the Levy Court of Frederick County, to levy a sum of
money for the purpose of building a Bridge over Little Pipe Creek in
said County.

1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the levy court of Frederick county be and they are here-
by authorised and required, at their next annual meeting, to le-
vy upon the assessable property of said county, a sum of money
not exceeding two thousand dollars, for the purpose of building
a permanent stone bridge over Little Pipe Creek in said county.
