ample a manner as if she were a feme sole, and had never
been married; and to hold, use and enjoy the same for her own
use and benefit, and the same to dispose of according to her
will and pleasure, without the molestation, interference, hin-
drance or consent of her said husband, or of any person or per-
sons claiming by, from or under her said husband, in the same
manner she could or might have done were she a feme sole.

3. And be it enacted, That the said Ann be, and she is
hereby declared to be, entitled to the custody and guardianship
of the person of her child, without the molestation, let, hin-
drance, interference or consent of the said Henry Gilder.

4. And be it enacted, That the said Henry Gilder shall not
be liable for any debts to be hereafter contracted by the said
Ann Gilder.

CHAP. CLXIII.
An Act for the benefit of Alfred H. Dashiell, and others, of the City of Bal-
timore.
1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Nicholas G. Ridgely, Alfred H. Dashiell, and Ann Da-
shiell his wife, all of the city of Baltimore, be and they are
hereby authorised and empowered, to file a petition in the high
court of chancery of this state,, for the sale of all those parts or
parcels of land situate in Anne-Arundel county in said state,,
called Dorsey's Search and Free Bern's Progress, which by deed
of indenture, dated the twenty-seventh day of July, in the year
eighteen hundred and twenty-two, and duly executed and re-
corded, were granted and conveyed by a certain Richard Ridge-
ly, late of said county, deceased, to the said Alfred II. Dashiell,
aid Ann his wife, to and for their joint lives, and for the life of
the survivor, and at the death of the survivor to the issue of the
said Alfred and Ann.

2. And be it enacted, That the said court shall have autho-
rity, and it is hereby directed, if it shall be of opinion that the
interests of the parties aforesaid require it; to decree a sale of
said property upon such terms and conditions as to the said court
may seem best, and such sale shall be made by such person as
the said court may appoint trustee for that purpose, and when
made and ratified by said court, shall be valid and effectual to
pass all the right, title and interests, of the said parties, or of
any other person or persons claiming, or to claim, any title or in-
terest in said property, under and by virtue of the deed of in-
denture aforesaid.

3. And be it enacted. That such trustee shall be required to
give bond, with security to be approved of by the chancellor, in
such penalty as he may direct, conditioned for the faithful per-
formance of his said trust, and shall be in all respects in the same
condition, and subject to the like regulations, as all other trustees
in said court are, and a copy of said bond, under the seal of said
court, shall be as good and sufficient evidence in any of the
courts of this state, as the original would be if produced and
proved.

4. And be it enacted, That the proceeds arising from the
