AN ACT to add Section 18.124 (el) to Title 18, "Public Works" of the Howard
County Code to incorporate into the Metropolitan District certain parcel(s) in
Columbia belonging to Pradip K. Ghosh.

Effective Date June 5, 1989.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact Subtitle 1, ''Compensation Review Commission",
to Title 5 "County Council", of the Howard County Code, for the purpose of
establishing a compensation review commission, pursuant to Article 25A, Section
5(AA) of the Annotated Code of Maryland and Section 202(d) of the Howard County
Charter.

Effective Date July 3, 1989.

AN ACT to amend Section 12.110 "Nuisances" and to add new section 12.111
"Nuisance Suits Against Agricultural Operations" to Subtitle 1 "Health Code" of Title
12 "Health and Social Services" of the Howard County Code to provide that an
agricultural operation may not become a public or private nuisance if certain conditions
are met.

Effective Date July 3, 1989.

AN ACT to add new Subtitle 17.500 "New Home Sales Contract" to Title 17
"Public Protection Services" of the Howard County Code to allow certain buyers of new
homes to conduct pre-settlement inspections within a certain time; to require sellers of
new homes to notify buyers of their right to a pre-settlement inspection; to require a
notice in new home contracts of sale regarding oral representations; to authorize
: enforcement of these regulations and generally to regulate contracts for the sale of new
homes, and also to amend Section 17.401 "Office of Consumers Affairs" of Subtitle 4
"Consumer Protection" of Title 17 "Public Protection Services" to add subsection (1)
to provide that the Office of Consumer Affairs shall administer the provisions of the
new Subtitle.

Effective Date July 3, 1989.
