HOWARD COUNTY

AN ACT to amend Section 20.112 "Tax Credits for Agricultural Land" of Subtitle
1, "Assessment, Levy and Tax Bills" of Title 20 "Taxation and Public Credit" of the
Howard County Code to provide that an owner of agricultural land to which an
easement has been transferred to Howard County, Maryland may receive an annual
property tax credit; making this Bill contingent upon the enactment of a certain Act of
the General Assembly.

Effective Date July 3, 1989.

AN ACT amending Subsection (a) "Open Space Requirements" AND
SUBSECTION (C) 'TEE IN LIEU OF DEDICATION" of Section 16.117 "Public sites
and open spaces" of Subtitle 1 "Subdivision and land development regulations" of Title
16 "Planning, Zoning and Subdivision and Land Development Regulations" of the
Howard County Code to require 5% open space dedication in R zoning districts., AND
TO PROVIDE THAT IT IS THE DEVELOPER'S CHOICE TO EITHER CONVEY
OPEN SPACE TO A PROPERTY OWNER'S ASSOCIATION OR PAY A FEE IN
LIEU OF DEDICATION ONCE THE OFFICE OF PLANNING AND ZONING
WAIVES OPEN SPACE DEDICATION TO THE COUNTY

Effective Date August 7, 1989.

AN ACT amending various sections of Title 1 "Personnel Administration" of the i
Howard County Code to provide for new pay ranges for county employees; to designate
new grades for employees; to add and amend certain definitions; to determine the pay
of newly appointed, promoted, and demoted employees; to provide certain shift
differentials; to provide for annual longevity increments; to provide annual increments
for employees with designated skills or qualifications whose positions require these :
skills or qualifications; to set the hours of certain police and fire personnel; to provide .
for overtime and compensatory time for employees; to add, amend, or delete certain
position classifications; and to protect the pay of certain employees; and making this
Act effective July 1, 1989 pursuant to provisions of Article VII of the Howard County i
Charter.

Effective Date July 1, 1989.

[Amending Sections 1.103, 1.107(a)(2), 1.109(b)(2) and (3), 1.116, 1.118, 1.206, 1.210,;
