HOWARD COUNTY

AN ACT amending Section 17.100B "Fire and Rescue Services Board" of Subtitle
1 "Fire Protection" of Title 17 "Public Protection services" of the Howard County Code
to make it consistent with Section 404 of the Howard County Charter and Subtitle 3
"Boards and Commissions" of Title 6 "County Executive and the Executive Branch" of
the Howard County Code regarding the appointment of members of the Fire and
Rescue Services Board and the length of their terms.

Effective Date May 9, 1989.

Bill No. 17

AN ACT amending various sections of Subtitle 5 "Agricultural Land
Preservation" and Subtitle 6 "Agricultural Preservation Districts" of Title 15 "Natural
Resources" of the Howard County Code to provide that landowners may terminate a
Howard County agricultural preservation district on their land under certain
circumstances; to permit the processing of applications to sell development rights to
land for which the owner has petitioned establishment of a Howard County agricultural
preservation district; to clarify the effective date of applications; and to authorize the
County Executive to establish methods of payments for development rights or land in
fee simple.

Effective Date June 5, 1989.

AN ACT to add Section 18.124 (eG) to Title 18, "Public Works" of the Howard
County Code to incorporate into Metropolitan District certain parcel(s) in Simpsonville
belonging to Howard Research and Development Corporation.

Effective Date June 5, 1989.

Bill No. 19

AN ACT to add Section 18.124 (eH) to Title 18, "Public Works" of the Howard
County Code to incorporate into the Metropolitan District certain parcel(s) in
Columbia belonging to Lawrence Hetz (contract purchasers: Robert Boras and Suzanne
Warren).

Effective Date June 5, 1989.
