BY THE SENATE,

May 7th, 1861.
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates:

We hereby transmit to your honorable body, a copy of the
resolutions of a public meeting, held in Annapolis, on the
3rd instant, subject to your disposal.

Secretary.

The resolutions, opposing the passage of the Public Safety
bill, were read and referred to the committee on Federal Re-
lations.

Also, the following :

BY THE SENATE,

May 7th, 1861.
Gentlemen of the Rouse of Delegates:

We propose, with your concurrence, to appoint a joint
committee, consisting of four members of each body, to con-
fer in regard to the adjournment of the Legislature, and have
appointed Messrs. Dashiell, Townsend, Yellott and Smith,
on the part of the Senate.
