Mr. Brining proposed to amend, by striking out "four"
anl inserting "two."

Which was adopted.

The question then recurring upon the order as amended, it
was adopted.

The Speaker appointed under the order as adopted, Messrs,
John Bender and Harman Butler, police; Charles T. Adams,
page; Esma Lowe, folder.

Mr. Morgan proposed the following message:

BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,

April 27th, 1861.
GENTLEMEN OF THE SENATE :

We respectfully propose, with your concurrence to adjourn
and meet forthwith at the German Reformed building.

Chief Clerk.

Which was adopted and sent to the Senate.
The following message was received from the Senate, read
and concurred in :

BY THE SENATE,

April 27th, 1861.
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates:

We have received your message, proposing a removal to
the new building on Market street, and concur therein.
By order,

WM. KILGOUR, Sec'y.

On motion of Mr. Gordon, the House adjourned to meet at
the German Reformed building forthwith.

11 o'clock, a.m.

The House met in the hall off the German Reformed build-
ing.

Present at the call of the roll, the following members:
