ison, Hunter, Quinlan, Renshaw, Jones, of Talbot, Chap-

lain, Long, Lawson, Keene, Holland, Maxwell, Bryan,
Wootten, Jones, of Prince George's, Starkey, Jacobs,Landing,
Dennis, of Worcester, Kessler, Claggett, Routzahn, Johnson,
Salmon, Naill, Straughn, Goldsborough, Warfield, Brune,
Winans, Harrison, Sangston, Morfit, Scott, Wilson, of Har-

ford, Bayless, McCoy, Coudy, Eakle, Brining, Stake, Harding,
Roop, Gorsuch, Mills, Brown.

The proceedings of yesterday were read.

Louis P. Fiery, the delegate elect from Washington coun-
ty appeared, qualified, and took his seat.

Mr. Coudy offered the following :

Ordered, That the Libarian furnish Mr. Fiery with a copy
of the new Code ;

Which was adopted.

Mr. Medders presented the petition of citizens of Kent coun-
ty against the passage of the Safety Bill.

Mr. Quinlan presented the petition of John W. Baker and
other citizens, on the same subject.

Mr. Fiery presented three petitions of citizens of Wash-
ington county, on the same subject;

Which were read and severally referred to the Joint Spe-
cial Committee of the House and Senate.

Mr. Eakle presented the petition of citizens of Washington
county, against the passage of the Safety Bill ;

Referred to the Joint Special Committee of the House and
Senate.

Mr. Wallis, chairman of the committee on Federal Rela-
tions, reported favorably upon the Senate Resolution, pro-
posing the appointment of John M. Robinson, as Commission-
er to Delaware, to confer with His Excellency, the Governor,
in regard to the arming of the free negroes of Delaware ;

Which was read the second time and passed by yeas and
nays, as follow:
