The Secretary of the Senate returned the following bill :
A bill entitled, an act to amend the 4th article of the Code
of Public Local Laws, by adding thereto the following sec-
tion, vesting in the Board of Police of the city of Baltimore
all the authority in said city now vested in a single magis-
trate and constable, under the provisions of the 66th article
of the Code of Public General Laws, in regard to free negroes
and mulatoes;
Endorsed "passed by yeas and nays."
Also, delivered a bill entitled, an act to amend the 151st
and 154th sections, relating to the schools of Talbot county,
of article 20th of the Code of Public General Laws, and to
add new sections thereto ;
