The bill being upon its second reading,

Mr. Worthington proposed the following amendment:

Strikeout "six," and insert "three."

Mr. Miller moved to re-commit the bill.

Mr. Maxwell moved the previous question ;

Which was sustained.

The question then being,

"Shall the main question be now put?"

It was sustained.

The question then recurred upon re-committing the bill.
