On motion of Mr. Ford,

All further proceedings under the call were dispensed with,
and the House resumed the consideration of the Senate bill-
entitled,

An act to explain article XXXVIII, section 25, of the'
Maryland Code of Public General Laws relating to fees of
officers.

The question recurred upon the motion to suspend the'
rules to order the bill to a third reading;

Which was sustained,

And the bill was read the third time, and rejected by yeas
and nays, as follow:
