Was reconsidered.

Mr. Pitts, from the Committee on the Judiciary, reported
favorably upon a Senate bill entitled,

An act to explain article XXXVIII, section 25, of the
Maryland Code of Public General Laws, relating to fees of
officers;

Which was read the second time.

Mr. Pitts moved a suspension of the rules, that the
bill be ordered to a third reading,

Pending the consideration of which,
Mr. Chaplain moved a call of the House,
Upon the call of the roll,
On motion of Mr. Wallis,

The Sergeant-at-arms was sent, with the mace, to notify
and command attendance of the absent members.

After an absence of some time, the Sergeant-at-arms re-
turned, and reported that he had summoned the absent
members who were yet in town, and that Messrs. Jones, of
Prince George's, and Worthington were unable to attend in
consequence of illness,

Mr. Chaplain moved a call of the House.

Upon the call of the roll, the following members were
present,

Messrs. Kilb'ourn, Spk'r, Rasin, Medders, Welch, Macku-
bin, Compton, Ford, Denison, Quinlan, Renshaw, Jones, of
Talbot, Chaplain, Holland, Mclntire, Maxwell, Bryan, Legg,
Jacobs; Landing, Kessler, Clagett, Routzahn, Salmon, Naill,
Goldsborough, Warfield, Brune, Pitts, Harrison, Thomas,
Wallis, Sangston, Morfit, Scott, Wilson, McCoy, Coudy,
Brining, Fiery, Griffith, Gordon, Barnard, McCleary, Roop,
Mills.

On motion of Mr. Wallis,

The Sergeant-at-arms, with the mace, was again sent to
notify the absent members yet in the city, and to arrest them,
if necessary to secure their attendance, and bring them be-
fore the bar of this House.

After an absence of some time, the Sergeant-at-arms re-
turned, and reported that all the absent members, save those
who were detained by sickness, had left the city.
