Mr. Compton, chairman of the committee on Military Af-
fairs, reported favorably upon the Senate bill entitled, an act
to make an appropriation to compensate that portion of the
16th regiment of Maryland militia, which in obedience to an
order of his Excellency, Governor Hicks, performed guard
duty at the State armory in Frederick, from April 22d to May
11th, 1861, inclusive.
On motion of Mr. Mackubin,
Said bill was postponed and made the order of the day for
Tuesday next.
Mr. Jones, of Talbot, reported favorably upon a bill en-
titled, an act to amend article XX of the Code of Public Lo-
cal Laws, by repealing the 91st section thereof, relating to
jurors in Talbot county, and substituting a new section there-
for;
