The Secretary of the Senate delivered the following:

A bill entitled, an act to legalize and make valid a deed
from Wm. R. Steele, Executor of Joseph Steele, late of Car-
roll county, deceased, to John T. Steele;

Which was read the first time and referred to the commit-
tee on the Judiciary.

Also, a bill entitled, an act to amend section 88, of article
VII, of the Code of Public Local Laws, relating to Carroll
county, by adding thereto the following;

Which was read the first time and referred to the Carroll
county delegation.

Also, a bill entitled, an act to legalize and make valid the
acts, doings and proceedings of the burgess and commis-
sioners of Uniontown, in Carroll county;

Which was read the first time and referred to the Carroll
county delegation.

Severally endorsed "passed by yeas and nays."

Also, returned the bill entitled, an act to amend article
IV of the Code of Public Laws relating to Baltimore city, by
authorizing the Board of Police of said city, to cause the
closing of bar rooms, bars, drinking houses and liquor shops
in said city, and the sale of furnishing of liquor thereat,
when necessary, for the preservation of the public peace;

Endorsed, "passed by yeas and nays."
