Speaker of the House of Delegates:

Dear Sir:—As I expect to he absent from the city for some
time, I deem it my duty to resign my position as State Direc-
tor in the Mechanics Bank of Baltimore.

I think in these troublesome times the State's interest
should be properly represented.
